Misano Delivers Heat, Pace & Heartbreak

It was a weekend of highs and heartbreaks in Misano, as Charlie continued to impress in Round 4 of the season — even if the results didn’t reflect it.

Under the scorching Italian sun, Charlie topped the timesheets on the final day of practice, setting the tone early and making it clear that even in his rookie season, he’s not just here to participate. It stirred noise in the paddock — and rightfully so.

Come qualifying, both Charlie and teammate Callum looked strong. Charlie’s lap was good enough to mix it with the front runners, but a last-minute track limits deletion dropped the pair down the order. They lined up P4 and P11 for the two races — not ideal, but still within striking distance.

Race One saw Charlie locked in the lead group from the start. Fast, committed, and right in the mix. But it unraveled before the flag — a DNF ending what could’ve been a statement result. Race Two followed the same script. Strong pace, hard racing, and once again, a DNF that didn't tell the full story.

On paper, a double non-finish is a tough pill to swallow. But behind the scenes, there’s real progress. Charlie’s pace is no longer a surprise — it’s expected. His development across the season is obvious, and the ceiling is only getting higher.

Now comes the summer break. A month to regroup, reset, and come back stronger. Next stop: Nürburgring — where the series returns alongside the GT World Challenge, and Charlie will be looking to convert potential into results.
